Your Profile is your control center.

Profile connects your identity, wallet readiness, trust score, Community+ reputation, Verified Earner status, data export, and account lifecycle controls in one place.

Overview

Your Profile is where Garder explains who you are on the platform, what is visible to others, what is private, and what actions are available to you. It is not just an account settings page โ€” it is the home for your platform identity.

From Profile, you can review identity verification, update personal and account details, check wallet readiness, monitor trust score, view Community+ reputation, apply for Verified Earner, download your data, and manage deactivation or deletion.

Privacy principle: Profile can help others trust your activity without exposing sensitive details like wallet balance, BVN, NIN, salary, employer details, phone number, or email address.

Profile Basics

The basic profile area keeps your account identity clear and up to date.

Profile item Why it matters Visibility
Name / display identity Used across Community+, support requests, offers, Funds, Circles, and account records. Public where your activity appears.
Role Helps the platform shape your experience as member, supporter, or both. May be shown contextually.
Member since Shows how long you have been building platform history. Visible in public profile context.
Income / occupation details Helps trust score affordability calculations and Verified Earner review where applicable. Private. Not shown in Community+ profile modal.

Identity & KYC

Identity verification helps protect the community and unlocks key platform actions. KYC status is a trust signal, but sensitive identity numbers are never shown publicly.

Shows whether identity checks have been completed and whether the account is ready for higher-trust activity.

Used for account safety, wallet readiness, and virtual account activation where required. It is not displayed publicly.

If the platform needs a fresh identity check, you may be asked to reverify before continuing sensitive actions.

Wallet & Virtual Account

Profile helps you understand whether your account is ready to receive support, add money, withdraw, and complete returns. Wallet balance itself is private and is not shown to other users.

Virtual account readiness: Some actions require an active virtual account. If your wallet setup is incomplete, the platform may prompt you to complete verification before posting, collecting, receiving support, or returning funds.

Trust Score

Your trust score explains platform reliability: completed returns, missed commitments, active obligations, affordability signals, and consistency over real cycles.

Community+ Public Profile

When someone taps your name or avatar in Community+, they see a safe public profile summary. This gives supporters context without exposing sensitive information.

Visible

Trust score, score label, support plan history, previous support handled, repayment rate, community badge, KYC status, and member-since date.

Hidden

Wallet balance, phone number, email address, salary, employer details, BVN, NIN, and private identity records.

Previous Support Handled shows the highest previous support amount band handled on Garder. It is context, not a guarantee, approval limit, or instruction to support.

Verified Earner

Verified Earner is an optional profile-backed trust layer for members with reviewed income evidence. It can help eligible support requests stand out, but it does not expose salary or employer details to the public.

The badge appears only when the member is approved and the specific request passes platform checks.

Download Your Data

You can download your account data from Profile. This is designed to make your platform record portable and transparent.

Account details Basic profile, account status, creation date, and role context.
Platform activity Support plans, applications, Funds, Susu/Circles activity, Community+ posts, and wallet transaction records where available.
Trust history Score snapshots, score change reasons, and repayment-related signals.

Deactivate Account

Deactivation is a reversible pause. Your account becomes dormant, your data stays preserved, and you can reactivate by logging in again.

Important: Deactivation can be blocked if you have unresolved active support plans, defaults, wallet obligations, active Susu cycles, live Funds, or other commitments that need to remain reachable.

Delete Account

Account deletion is permanent after the grace period. It is designed as a deliberate multi-step action so users do not accidentally delete a live account.

The platform may require OTP confirmation before continuing.

You can cancel during the grace period if you change your mind.

Permanent deletion

After the grace period, account identity is removed or anonymized according to the platform retention rules.

Security & OTP

Sensitive profile and account lifecycle actions may require OTP verification. This protects your account from accidental or unauthorized changes.

FAQ

Is my wallet balance visible to others?

No. Wallet balance is private and is never shown in the public Community+ profile modal.

Does Verified Earner reveal my salary?

No. The badge can appear publicly, but salary evidence, employer details, and documents remain private.

Why should I keep my income updated?

It helps affordability calculations and may support trust-related features such as Verified Earner review.

Can I leave Garder while I owe money?

Usually no. Active obligations should be resolved before deactivation or deletion can proceed.

Can I download my data before leaving?

Yes. Use the data export option from Profile before deactivation or deletion.
