How Community+ is meant to work

Trust + context + visibility

Community+ works best with context

Clear amount, purpose, story, timeline, and return plan help supporters decide faster.

Support is structured

Support offers, Fund backing, acceptance, and returns still happen through structured platform flows.

Trust matters

Responses, comments, completed plans, Verified Earner signals, and consistency help members build reputation.

What is Community+?

Community+ is a community support board built into the Garder marketplace. Instead of quietly applying for a pre-existing offer and waiting, you can share your support request with context, let the community react, and let supporters respond directly.

Think of it like a market square β€” you announce the support you need, others show support or offer to give support, the right supporter finds you and creates a formal offer, and everything moves through the same platform.

πŸ’‘ Who can use it? Any registered Garder user. Members requesting support post requests. Supporters respond with offers. Users with both roles can do either.

Posting a Support Request

From the Marketplace, click the Community+ tab, then tap the composer bar at the top.

1

Write a title

Be specific and human. "Need ₦200K to restock my shop before Christmas" works far better than "Need help."

2

Tell your story

Explain why you need the money, how you plan to repay, and anything that builds trust. You can @mention supporters you've noticed on the platform.

3

Set amount and purpose

Enter the exact amount and choose the closest purpose category: Business, Education, Medical, Home, Agriculture, or Personal.

4

Post to Community+

Your post goes live immediately and is visible to all logged-in users. You earn +10 member requesting support points for posting.

⚠️ Wallet setup required β€” You need an active virtual account to post and to receive approved support if supported.

Reactions

Every post has three reaction types. They carry intent and affect both visibility and community score.

Reaction What it means Points
🀝 Support "This person looks legit" β€” a vote of confidence. +1 you Β· +5 author
❓ Question "I need more info" before considering whether to give support. +1 you Β· +2 author
πŸ’° Will Offer Supporters: opens the offer creation modal. Members requesting support: registers as a reaction. +1 you Β· +8 author

Only one active reaction per post is allowed at a time. Tapping the same reaction again removes it. Tapping a different one switches it.

Comments & @Mentions

Tap the comment count on any post to expand the thread. Press Enter to send, or use Shift + Enter for a new line.

@Mentioning users

Type @ followed by at least one character to trigger the mention dropdown. Mentioned users are highlighted in cyan within the comment thread.

πŸ’‘ Use @mentions strategically β€” If you know a specific supporter on the platform, @mention them directly in your post or comment. It increases the chance they respond.

Every comment earns you +3 member requesting support points.

Sharing Posts

Tap the share icon on any post to copy a public link anyone can visit β€” even without an Garder account. Sharing earns you +2 member requesting support points.

Public visitors can see the post, up to 3 comments, and reaction counts. All interactive features still require login.

πŸ”— Share to WhatsApp β€” The link generates a preview card showing the member requesting support’s name, amount, and purpose. Great for rallying support from people you already know.

Support Offers from Posts

If you're a supporter, tap πŸ’° Make Offer on a post. A modal opens pre-filled with the amount β€” you set the interest rate, frequency, and duration. On publish, two things happen automatically:

1

A comment is auto-posted

It tags the member requesting support with their @handle and includes a direct link to the offer so they can apply in one tap.

2

The offer appears in the marketplace

It's a real support plan offer visible on the Support Offers tab. The auto-comment helps ensure the post author sees it first.

⚠️ Wallet required β€” Creating an offer places the full amount in escrow from your wallet. You cannot make an offer on your own post.

Getting Supported

When a supporter creates an offer in response to your post, their comment appears with a direct link. Follow the link, review the terms, tap Apply for Support Plan, wait for supporter approval, and once approved, the funds hit your wallet and your post is marked βœ… Supported automatically.

Getting supported earns you +50 member requesting support points β€” the biggest single jump in the system.

πŸ’‘ Multiple offers β€” More than one supporter can respond to your post. Compare them in the marketplace and apply for the best terms.

Viewing User Profiles

Tap any post author’s avatar or name to open their public profile. It shows their trust score and score bar, support plan history, previous support handled, repayment rate, community badge, KYC status, and member-since date.

No sensitive information is ever shown β€” no wallet balance, phone number, email address, salary details, employer details, BVN, or NIN.

Badge System

Community+ has separate progression tracks for members requesting support and supporters. Your badge appears next to your name on every post and comment. Both badges display simultaneously for dual-role users.

FAQ

Can I edit or delete a post after publishing?

Yes. You can edit or delete a Community+ post after publishing. Use edit when the details change, or delete if the request should no longer be visible.

What if no supporter responds?

Your post stays open indefinitely β€” there is no expiry. Keep engaging in the comments to maintain visibility.

Can I post multiple support requests?

Yes. But one well-written, focused request usually performs better than several simultaneous ones.

Does a supporter's offer go only to the post author?

A support offer created from a Community+ post is shown back to the post author for review, and the platform can also keep the offer visible through the normal marketplace flow depending on its status.

What's the difference between trust score and community score?

Trust score reflects repayment and platform trust behavior. Community score reflects engagement on Community+ β€” posting, commenting, reacting, sharing, and getting supported.

Can Funds show inside Community+?

Yes. Community+ can show Fund announcements so supporters can discover Fund requests with social context and progress information.

What does the Verified Earner badge mean on a post?

It means the member has an active income-reviewed status and the specific request passed the platform checks needed for that badge to appear. It does not expose salary details and it is not a guarantee.

Is my post visible to people outside Garder?

Yes, if you or anyone else shares the link. The public page shows the post and the first 3 comments. All interactive features still require login.
